Mohawk family's business Williamson I am lucky enough to once again serve as your principal for the foreseeable future I've been here for the last eight years and I hope to continue going on so we are getting ready for the new school year and we wanted to make sure to send out images of Aloha and sports to each of you in time to go over some things with all of the families before we used for our state fishing for students and for the school year and it's a phrase coined phrase that you may be familiar with that is Nae a part which is 2 or working together in unison combined United basically our goal as we come out of the pandemic and we begin to look to a future that we we are hoping that we can now get back to some of our practices are things that we want to do that together not just with his family will you see this as a partnership or do we want to be United in what we are doing what we're doing as a vision and Mission at each of the levels mahal kita by living conditions are good we want to make sure that the water that we are part of the community that we are all a part of it is fresh is clean it is something we're plant life and like to come together for the metaphor is that as the school we are that one water as a community we are at 1/4 lb we want to make sure that what we provide is the support for all of our children every student can experience motto every time I interviewed candidates teachers and getting them to the school and bring up our motto actively helping others achieve it's not just the teacher. Just assume several his people and the Pea community and we want to make sure again. And we're going to be is that as we go along so our Hawaiian phrase that we are behind in order to progress when we come together when we are part of the solution students we have many many things we are blessed to have as part of our community and I know that you are family and you choose to be here so we thank you for that and we hope that we are doing what we can to make that experience as good as possible we also hope that you will talk to us about those things Opera suggestions cuz I know sometimes I still hear the words I still hear what the intention is not always the message but the intense and so make sure that the developments that are going on so right now we are growing as you continue to hire teachers as fast as we can you are working for part-time or full-time call us see what we can do and we will definitely work with you and your schedule cuz we we could use the help of some important stuff the last year with a pandemic and everything happening with those expenses for families and we wanted to make sure that our students were here and that there might have been a barrier for some kids so we wanted to make sure that this year we are getting back to that we are asking that students and families support each other support us by having their shirts they should be wearing numbers that the shirts cannot be altered Google cut off the bottoms of their shirts apps with drug paraphernalia logos on it is on there. kind of looking at the shorts that students for wearing last year in previous years we saw the proliferation of students wearing very short athletic shorts these are things that we are pretty sensible for the gym in or going short even in stores but for the workplace for school it is just not appropriate and so we're asking for parents help in this regard please make sure shorts or regularly not asking for them to your knees that are desperate thing but it should cover the whole midsection in order to ensure that or what we fought for in their future just remember this is something that has been difficult for a lot of folks excused absence for school is Note 4 with a court-ordered funeral. not counted as as excused absences or did the school year sparingly this isn't the time where we're going to go early and so we want to pull the kids from school tomorrow got to think about that a little bit we believe in person they are far more successful and make sure to do so the other thing is quarantine right so this year we will continue to have quarantine that's up to five days and so your student is positive for covid-19 please let us know we will Mark that is quarantine and then that is separate from these 10 that they could get okay so please make sure if you have questions contact this year we're more than happy to go over that lastly if we talked to the court about this we will be calling you to try and set up meetings to see what we can do to remember we're all about and that's what we want to show. Sometimes there are circumstances that are happening I need some help we got professionals and this is part of our job so we're happy to sit down with you and with our team and try to figure out ways around what's going on and see what we can do to help you please reach out to us we will also be reaching out to you last but certainly not least is our covid-19 so you've heard in the news and you seen everywhere that masking will be optional this year but we are actively encouraging students to continue wearing their mouth Community transmission for the virus that means not while we're indoors it is wearing our best here at the school for the CDs so if you need them or want them for you but we will not be enforcing any student to where they're not so just kind of be sure of that Nation play recommended now there are multiple types of vaccines out there for those of you who had some hope that there is now an opportunity for you to revisit that and be vaccinated. way to kind of go and that's what again it's not required but it is certainly suggested last year we did contact tracing where we was who are exposed that is not going to be the case this year so we will do broad notification for exposure that it will go out through their classrooms but we are not sending anyone that was exposed if they are healthy we certainly hope they are here we will do our best to educate them so you know we will be having an open houses and more because we can so I hope to see you there and I hope that everybody is safe and happy had a good summer so aloha
