Important Update: Campus Tardy Sweeps Begin October 12

How Tardy Sweeps Work

When the tardy bell rings, classroom teachers will lock their doors to begin instruction immediately. Any student remaining in the hallway without a valid pass will be escorted by staff to the Cafeteria for processing. Students will receive an official "Sweep Pass" to re-enter class, and tardiness will be logged according to our consequence ladder.

Consequence Ladder

  • 1st Offense: Recess Detention

  • 2nd Offense: Lunch Detention

  • 3rd Offense: Recess & Lunch Detention

  • 4+ Offenses: 1 Day In-School Suspension (ISS)

Note: Consequences stack if tardies continue, and missing an assigned detention will result in additional days assigned. During detention, students complete an educational written reflection chosen from a reflection choice bank.

How Families Can Help

  1. Talk with your student: Reinforce the importance of arriving to every class period on time.

  2. Plan ahead: Allow extra time during morning commutes so students arrive well before the first bell.

  3. Encourage direct movement: Remind students to move directly to their next class during passing periods.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our focus on student learning.
