As a part of the Pahoa food sovereignty journey started in September.  We invite you to please join us in the construction of Pahoa High & Intermediate School’s Community Garden, Saturday May 11th, 10 am - 2 pm. Sponsored by PHIS, Kupu, and Kōkua Hawaii Foundation, this day will mark both a continuation and closing of the Mālama ʻĀina Kākou Community Lā Hana series for the 23'-24' school year.

  We will be building a brand-new garden from the ground up out front of PHIS. When completed, this project will provide an abundance of native cultural and medicinal plants, veggies, fruits, and herbs. This garden will serve as not only a kīpuka of free, fresh produce for the entire community, but it will also reinforce PHIS's four core values: pilina, pono, kuleana, and mālama.  We need your support as our community members and leaders to make this day possible.
