FOUNDATION DESCRIPTION

Pahoa Schools Support Foundation was established in 2014 as a non-profit organization  with the help dedicated alumni, faculty, administration and staff with support from Brian Iwata, CPA and Judge Henry Nakamoto.  Our mission is to supplement and fund activities to  promote educational opportunities at Pahoa High and Intermediate School, Pahoa Elementary School and Keonepoko Elementary School.

FOUNDATION LOGO BACKGROUND

The logo is based on the indigenous plant called the alahe`e. It is said ancient Hawaiians preferred the wood of this plant for farming and cultivation tools because it grew straight and strong. The fragrance of this plant is said to permeate the land like an octopus creeping on the floor of the ocean. Just as alahe`e grows, we hope to support our keiki by providing the necessary resources so they too may grow "straight and strong".

We are still at our infancy stage, and we are still soliciting donations. Contact any of the board of director for information  to donate money to support our mission.
