Kaukau 4 Keiki is a six-week summer program funded by the County of Hawai‘i and administered by The Food Basket, Hawai'i Island's Food Bank. Kaukau 4 Keiki will distribute $53 of food benefits per week (a $35 grocery gift card and an $18 value of Hawai‘i grown produce) to help families with economic hardship. Kaukau 4 Keiki is explicitly designed for families with school-aged children who reside on Hawai'i Island. There will be a limit of one Kaukau 4 Keiki set per family.

To qualify:

• Have a child in your family currently attending a public or charter school on Hawai'i Island (ages 18 and under, or up to age 22 for children with disabilities)
• Child must be eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch.

This program is slated to begin the week of June 20th, 2022, and conclude on Friday, July 29, 2022. Grocery cards and produce will be distributed at pick-up sites island-wide.

Deadline to Apply is on Thursday, June 9 4 PM.  To apply, please fill out our online application. Upon qualification, applicants will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis. Selected applicants will be notified of their enrollment and weekly pick-up location by Thursday, June 16, 2022.
