To Whom It May Concern, The Kaʻū-Keaʻau-Pāhoa Complex Area (KKP CA) vision is “Mohala i ka wai ka maka o ka pua” (Flowers thrive where there is water, as thriving people are found where living conditions are good.) We have a responsibility to make sure that we nourish these waters so that our future flowers of the next generations can bloom and perpetuate the culture. During these unprecedented times, KKP leaders’ priority has been to continue our model of shared leadership and resourcing for the benefit of all students. Complex area principals have been working tirelessly with their staff to create school systems and schedules that best meet the needs of our students while also ensuring health and safety practices for the wellbeing of students, staff, and families. KKP schools are aligned with Superintendent Kishimoto’s three-phase plan for distance learning. Principals are working with their staff to coordinate their schedule for the week of August 17, 2020, to minimize the time that students will be on campus with other children and adults. We thank all of our KKP ʻohana for their dedication and care in continuing to nourish the conditions in which our students can thrive. “Ua Ola Loko I ke aloha - Love gives life within."
